The Fellow performs clinical, didactic, research, and other educational activities required to develop knowledge and skills required to practice competently and independently.in the field of specialty. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

* Physician licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and supervision or Oklahoma Board of Osteopathic Examiners to practice in the State of Oklahoma and holding an unrestricted license

* Graduate of an AAMC approved US medical schools or ECFMG approved foreign medical school or COCA- approved College of Osteopathic Medicine

* Completion of an American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI) approved or an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved Internal Medicine Residency Program

* Completion of an American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI) approved or an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education approved Gastroenterology Fellowship Program (optional and preferred)

* Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (OBNDD) Registrations

* Eligibility to participate in federally qualified health programs including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid

* Satisfaction of background check requirements of INTEGRIS

* Declaration that the physician is not required to register under the provisions of the Oklahoma Sex Offenders Registration Act or the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Offenders Registration Act

* Academic credentials, abilities, aptitude, preparedness, communication skills, and personal qualities including motivation and integrity acceptable to the Program Director and faculty following application review and interview

* Meet all requirements for eligibility for the Fellowship program as defined in the INTEGRIS Metro Graduate Medical Education Handbook, and requirements defined by the Accreditation for Graduate Medical Education, as applicable.

* Meet ongoing program requirements for continued participation.

* Must be able to communicate effectively in English
