Manage SQL Server databases for servers running Microsoft SQL Server Standard or Enterprise editions.
Ensure data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met through formulations and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Support existing database object development and new database object development, to include TSQL coding for views and stored procedures and the use of SSIS for data ETL
Analyze, test, and implement physical database design supporting various business applications (including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines)
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activates after hours
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems on a rotational basis (OnCall)
Work with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in a high-pressure, complex environment
Minimum Requirements:
7 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
5 years of in-depth experience in the administration, support, and implementation of Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise (on-prem)
5 years of experience with backup, restores, and recovery models
5 years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server to include use of Availability Groups and Always-On replication
Ability to demonstrate strong DBA skills through understanding of relational database model and techniques
Experience in designing, modeling, developing, and support large RDBMS
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Team player with good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Previous experience as a Team Lead preferred but not required
This position is onsite in OKC however it offers Hybrid schedule after initial 3 month training period.
