ABOUT THE JOB

Tepa Companies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to participate in project design from the conceptual phase to the construction phase. As the Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate with the various project teams to develop, refine, and update design criteria, design direction, and be responsible for generation of engineering plans, specifications, and where applicable, cost estimates. It is preferred that the successful candidate have experience working with at least one of the following entities: Federal, state, and local governments.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Produces plans, reports, and specifications
  • Assists in preparation of cost estimates
  • Assists in preparation of inspection reports
  • Performs quality control and quality assurance
  • Performs calculations for design of HVAC and building energy systems
  • Works closely with junior engineering and drafting staff


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Bachelor's degree in mechancial engineering, or similar from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accredited college or university
    • A minimum of three (3) years' experience
    • Engineer-in-training certification preferred
    • AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Trane Trace 700, EnergyPlus
    • Capability of working on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    • Preferred (not required):
      • Previous military experience
