We're looking for a Lead Avionics Technician. This position will be based out of our Oklahoma City, OK location.

General Duties:

Responsible for assigning tasks to technicians as directed by the supervisor, identifying and correcting difficult Avionics and Electrical fabrication and modifications work on aircraft avionics and electrical, components and systems. Leads a team of technicians, provide training, coaching, guidance as required to complete work projects safely and on schedule. Builds and maintains a collaborative team environment that is essential for team success.

Essential Job Functions:

* Perform duties described in ATEC III

* Assign work to technicians as directed by the supervisor

* Lead and coach technicians to ensure tasks are completed per project plan and on budget

* Create EAR/Rs, BOEs, etc.

* Work with Quality, Logistics and Production Planning on Avionics related issues and provide corrective actions

* Communicate with management and co-workers on work progress and/or constraints

* Knowledgeable on how to access all drawings and manuals to assign and perform tasks

* Monitor technician performance and recommend improvements

* Enforce company policies and procedures

* Maintain professional relationship with customer and coworkers and promote a positive work environment

* Accountable for all work undertaken under his/her directions.

* Adheres to safety, compliance and regulatory policies and procedures.


Skills and Experience:

* Four (4) or more years of related experience

* Previous experience in a leadership role

Education:

* High School diploma/GED.

* Four (4) years' work on aircraft Avionics and Electrical Systems

* Two (2) years accredited schooling in aviation electronics (Avionics)

* FAA A&P License preferred

* Management approval.


Physical Requirements:

This position requires an initial physical exam upon a contingent offer of employment with a renewed physical exam required every five (5) years. The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Additional Notes:

A negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required for this position and the incumbent for this position will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
