Description
  • Identify and implement processes to maintain up-to-date, real-time changes to the data catalog and data lineage
  • Establish master data management functions for customer, enterprise, asset, and location domains and ensure data classification standards are followed
  • Identify, train, and maintain inventory of data owners and data stewards
  • Socialize data governance concepts and protocols throughout the organization and to all levels of staff and management
  • Map data protection protocols to master data inventory to ensure compliance with laws/regulations
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the organization's information privacy policies and procedures, and collaborate on cyber security policies and procedures as needed
  • Partner and educate IT and non-IT stakeholders in data management, quality and privacy requirements
  • Monitor the execution of data governance activities throughout the organization and applying corrective actions when necessary
  • Prepare and develop presentation materials, which includes writing, editing, verifying and formatting information, and ensuring that report material is accurate, timely and well written
  • Adhere to the governance structure for operational activities by coordinating Operations & Technology Committee oversight and reporting, ensuring issues get brought to the right executive resources, ensuring consistency among all business units, and ensuring controls are in place as new strategies are established
  • Design and develop analytical reports including data visualization and infographics
  • Manage various significant on-going projects; work with a team of internal and external partners and stakeholders to ensure project plans are developed and executed appropriately
  • Work closely with a range of MidFirst support services such as Legal, Internal Audit, Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Third Party Supplier Management, and Enterprise Risk Management to ensure each business unit is fulfilling its on-going administrative, legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements as it relates to data assets
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

* 5+ years of related work experience in data governance such as quality control, security, risk management, or knowledge management
* Strong organizational skills, with impeccable attention to detail
* Professional verbal and written communication skills required
* Knowledge of data-related operations and control mechanisms
* Advanced prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines having conflicting priorities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to challenge the business to help identify risks, deficiencies and control gaps
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Ability to manage change and cope with complex and ambiguous situations
* Takes ownership and eager to learn
* Professional written and verbal communication
* Can produce infographics or other graphic designs for communicating complex data, processes, dataflows, and ideas
