Departmental Overview

The Integrated Marketing department at Norman Regional supports the health system's mission to be the leader in health and wellness care through our promotion and education of system-wide strategic focus areas. Integrated Marketing is responsible for marketing, advertising, digital planning, public relations, corporate communications and other duties as necessary. NMotion Sports and Human Performance Center is focused on the "health" aspect of healthcare. It provides an opportunity for athletes, current, past, or future, to take a holistic approach to their health and wellness ensuring that performance is optimized both in sports and in life. Its collaborative approach integrates nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, and stress management to help patients establish new routines for better health. This internship will champion the marketing needs of NMotion and other areas of the health system.


Job Summary

  • The Marketing and digital content intern will have the opportunity to work with both the Integrated Marketing and NMotion teams.
  • This intern will act as a communication link using their marketing skills to promote strategic initiatives of NMotion.
  • The Marketing and NMotion Intern will collaborate with the Marketing and Social Media Specialist to identify, plan and execute key projects.
  • This includes meeting with both departments, learning about each department's processes, and creating content reflective of the Norman Regional Health System voice and brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute projects that support business objectives and enhance the employee and patient experience.
  • Attend departmental meetings when needed.
  • Help manage the company's online presence by monitoring and responding to reviews, updating website content, and tracking analytics.
  • Stay up to date on digital trends related to marketing and utilize those trend to the benefit of the health system with the guidance of marketing leadership.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be willing to learn with the ability to retain information.
  • Business casual dress for in-person work at our Porter Campus.
  • Have the ability to travel on your own.

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

Education

  • Current Junior or Senior level university student majoring in marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations or similar field with an interest in corporate communications and sports marketing.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AP Style preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with strong time management skills.
  • Knowledge of graphic design with experience of Canva or Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Knowledge of social media channel management (Loomly, like Hootsuite).
  • Ability to develop digital content for social media and the website for Norman Regional and NMotion, focusing on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Ability to write NMotion related content and blog articles.
  • Ability to write, shoot and edit short-form vertical videos for social media engagement while using brand guidelines and brand standards.
  • Ability to learn how to use Norman Regional intranet with assistance from social media and marketing specialists.
