Job Description

Reports to: Equipment Technology Coordinator

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Install Equipment Monitoring devices in on- and off-road equipment and vehicles, including but not limited to:

Wheel Loader, Excavators, Backhoes, Dozers, Cranes, Street sweepers, trailer mounted equipment, all terrain forklifts, and other types of construction equipment. On road equipment will include various models of CDL level vehicles such as Peterbilt, Kenworth and Mack and various others.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years verifiable experience as a light or heavy mechanic in the last 10 years.
  • Technical school a plus.
  • Able to demonstrate strong knowledge of automotive/ equipment electrical theory, and knowledge of CAN based communication systems.
  • Above average computer skills, experience in MS office platform.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass a drug test and possible physical

Requirements

  • This position can be based out of the greater Dallas or Houston area. Overnight travel, possibly up to three nights per week, is required. The territory this position covers is the entire state of Texas and may include travel to other states.
  • Must possess own basic mechanic hand tools, 1/4, 3/8, socket set, various wrenches, rechargeable tools, etc. Required special equipment will be provided.
  • Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule. Some weekend work may be required, and days off during the week can be used of offset this.
  • After training is completed, candidate will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision. Support can and will be provided by phone, video meeting and other forms of communication.
