Team member will be working with their unit to obtain pre-auth for 100+ physicians. The team member is in direct contact with physicians, nurses and patients as well as insurance companies and their clerical or clinical staff. Team member is responsible for communicating any potential issues surrounding pre-authorization or other pre-arrival requirements to physicians and their teams as well as others involved in the patient's care. It is imperative that the team member has excellent organizational skills and can manage time well. Attention to detail is a must as all actions taken on an account must be clearly documented and accurate. Candidates should be proficient in computer use as most work is technology based. They will utilize applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Office, various payer websites and electronic health record applications. Team member is expected to be able to prioritize tasks on a daily basis, adapt to new and changing situations, problem solve, research, analyze and make independent decisions. They handle patient confidential information and will adhere to all HIPAA expectations. The team lead is responsible for auditing and reporting quality and productivity measures to the Pre Auth Manager/Director. They will help organize, train and assist new hires and other team members in their roles. This position will be located at the financial services location: 7800 NW 85th Terrace, Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Qualifications Education: High school diploma; prefer some college Experience: Minimum of 50 wpm. Candidate should have at least one (1) year of job related experience or currently work in the Health Care field. Must have solid written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Insurance Eligibility & Benefits, Prior Authorizations, Insurance Payers and their respective websites is highly sought after. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology or medical terminology will be helpful in this position. Good investigative skills and telephone techniques are needed. Proven organization and time management skills are crucial. Creativity and innovation is highly encouraged.
