Medical Assistant for busy cardiology clinic located at the Heart Plaza on the Healthplex campus in Norman.

• Provides care to our cardiology patients by rooming, taking vital signs, verifying medications, answering phone messages, filling prescription, etc.
• This will be for multiple physicians and requires standing most of the day.
• This job requires that you have reliable car for traveling to satellite clinics.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.

Experience

• Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
• Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
• CMA or RMA preferred.

Compensation/Benefits

• $13.74-$22.14/hr depending on previous work experience.
