Position Summary: The VP of Financial Development is responsible for overseeing the Financial Development team and all Financial Development efforts including major gifts, individual giving, fundraising events, and grant submissions. This position is responsible for the long-term development of strategies to further the overall fundraising goals of NewView Oklahoma.

Essential duties and responsibilities (3-5 core functions representing 80% of time spent):

  • Serve as a collaborative member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the strategic planning of the organization overall.
  • Develop and manage the annual fundraising plan and budget. Responsible for the development of fundraising strategies for restricted and unrestricted gifts in support of programs, operations and annual fundraising events.
  • Implement a plan of action for cultivating and soliciting current and potential donors to increase contributions to NVO.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop and implement a consistent, strong team approach for all development efforts in OKC and Tulsa.
  • Serve as liaison and coordinator for all United Way activities, tours and programs.
  • Develop and implement a consistent presentation for all NVO tours.
  • Coordinate, manage and oversee annual fundraising luncheons in OKC and Tulsa.
  • Coordinate, manage and oversee database management for tracking gifts, pledge reminders, gift acknowledgements and maintaining accurate and consistent donor records.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop, implement and maintain reporting mechanisms to monitor income, provide analysis of status of annual goals and project funding needs.
  • Work with the grants team to coordinate individual, corporate and foundation grant proposal development and submission process to ensure proposals, reports and other documents are consistent, accurate and submitted on schedule.
  • Work with the marketing department to develop marketing materials related to all fundraising initiatives.
  • Represent the development office at weekly staff meetings and provide updates on all development efforts in OKC and Tulsa.
  • Must wear all protective equipment required by department.
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, communications, or other related field preferred.
  • Experience working in the HubSpot CRM preferred.
  • Experience working closely with fund raising and sales organizations with a strong affinity for team success.
  • 10+ years of professional fundraising experience.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization comfortably.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities at one time - delivering results on time and under budget.
