Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as a National Tax Manager might include the following:

Provide tax advisory services to corporations including consolidated entities for a variety of clients & industries
• Manage ASC 740 income tax accounting projects and consultations
• Provide guidance and training on ASC 740-related matters to personnel across the firm
• Assist in developing a standardized approach and tools for ASC 740 engagements
• Coordinate with financial statement audit teams on reviewing tax provisions and provide assistance as needed
• Coach or mentor a staff member to assist with enhancing their skills and further developing their career
• Assist with recruiting efforts for experienced ASC 740 staff across the Firm
• Network and build relationships and attract new clients for the Firm
• Identify other service offering opportunities for our ASC 740 clients

Who You Are

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required; J.D. and LLM or Master's in Taxation preferred.
• You have 5+ years of experience in tax accounting required.
• You have a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
• You have experience with and strong knowledge of ASC 740 and accounting.
• You've completed accounting for income tax engagements and ASC 740 consultations.
• You reviewed C-Corp returns and have consolidated and multistate return experience.
• You have experience providing assistance with deferred tax validation, tax provision controls, and provision process.
• You have good communication skills, both written and verbal. You're able to convey tax concepts to clients and the staff you're mentoring in a manner that they'll understand.
• You take pride in helping others, and you are ready to take on the challenge of leading a team of high-performing individuals.
• You enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's rules and applying them to your clients' facts and circumstances.
• You have a knack for solving problems and identifying issues while bringing solutions to the table.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $165,000

Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
